Island peak climbing itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu city tours and preparation for Island climbing.
Day 03: Katmandu Lukla by flight then trek to Phakding(2,652m).
Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m).
Day 05: Rest at Namche Bazaar acclimatization day.
Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Dole.
Day 07: Trek from Dole to Machhermo(4,465m).
Day 08: Trek from Machhermo to Gokyo(4,750m).
Day 09: Rest at Gokyo acclimatization day hike Gokyo ri.
Day 10: Trek from Gokyo to Thangna.
Day 11: Trek from Thangna to Dzongkha via crossing Chola pass.
Day 12: Trek from Dzongkha to Lubuche(4,930m).
Day 13: Trek from Lubuche to Gorak Shep(5,160m).
Day 14: Trek from Gorak Shep to EBC back to Lubuche.
Day 15: Trek from Lubuche cross Kongma La pass to Chhukung.
Day 16: Trek from Chhukung to Island Peak Base camp (5,200m).
Day 17: Island Peak Base Camp to High Camp (5,600m).
Day 18: Summit Island Peak then back to base camp to Chhukung.
Day 19: Trek from Chhukung to Tengboche(3,870m).
Day 20: Trek from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar.
Day 21: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla.
Day 22: Lukla to Kathmandu by flight, evening farewell dinner.
Day 23: Transfer to airport for onward destination.
Best season for Island peak climbing in Nepal are autumn (September, October and November) and spring (March, April and May). Mountaineering is an adventure activity; reach remote and high mountain regions, sometime health condition of climber, natural disaster and weather condition changed unexpectedly.
